Reconstitution Basics

Reconstitution means turning a freeze-dried (lyophilized) peptide powder into a measured liquid you can draw accurately.

The general steps

  1. Swab the vial top and the water vial with alcohol.
  2. Draw your chosen amount of bacteriostatic water.
  3. Inject the water slowly down the inside wall of the vial - do not blast the powder.
  4. Let it dissolve; swirl gently. Do not shake.
  5. Rest a few minutes until fully clear, then refrigerate (typically 2-8 C).

Concentration math

Concentration = total peptide / water volume. Example: 10 mg in 2 mL = 5 mg/mL. The more water you add, the lower the concentration and the larger the syringe draw for the same dose.

Some peptides need a specific diluent. For example, AOD-9604 is commonly reconstituted with a sterile acidic diluent rather than plain bacteriostatic water, and IGF-1 LR3 is mixed at a low concentration. Always follow product-specific instructions.

Turn it into a draw

Once mixed, use the calculator to convert your dose into exact U-100 syringe units.
